Thank you so much for taking the time to follow my journey in Ecuador this spring. I will try my very best to keep you updated on what I see, do, experience, avoid, eat, and anything else I see necessary for you to know. I depart RDU this Wednesday, January 4th very early in the morning and arrive in QUITO Wednesday around 7pm. My fingers are crossed that my host mother meets me in the airport as planned! I have lots to do in the next two days to prepare so the next time you'll hear from me I will be 1 time zone, 2500 miles, and two flights away....plus almost 9,000 feet higher in elevation! Good thing I will be bringing altitude sickness pills. Be on the lookout for my first post from Ecuador,
